As I read this book, I felt that this teacher was very great at first. In a way, the class was conducted in a way that I didn't think would have been possible, even if there were some teachers' authority. Also, when I was a middle school student, I read the book in a musical script and did a simple play. The Welton Academy in the book is a prestigious private high school that has sent many students to prestigious American universities. Therefore, it is a place where tradition and discipline are very important fundamental ideas. Unlike other teachers, however, Keating, the new Korean language teacher, was different from other teachers. He taught students a real lesson by tearing up books and going to the playground to teach them a different lesson. There is my favorite quote in this book. It's 'Enjoy the day.' In fact, I'm a little sad that this book ended in such a tragic way. Reading this book, I think we should feel what we are doing to study so hard and compete with others.
